ABOUT Behari Kabab RECIPE

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Boneless Mutton 1/2 kg
  2. Ginger garlic paste 1 tablespoon
  3. Papaya paste 2 tablespoons
  4. Oil as required
  5. Dry coconut 1 tablespoon
  6. Dried red chili whole 3-4
  7. Sesame seeds 1 tablespoon
  8. Cashew nut 10-12
  9. Yogurt 1/2 cup
  10. Salt to taste
  11. Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
  12. Garam masala powder 1/2 tspn
  13. Red chili powder 1/2 tspn
  14. Cumin powder 1/2 tspn

Instructions

  1. Apply ginger garlic paste, papaya paste and oil one tablespoon to the mutton strips. And keep aside for 10-15 minutes
  2. Meanwhile prepare the marinade by grinding the coconut, dried red chilies, cashew, sesame seeds into fine powder.
  3. Add the yogurt to the mutton strips, the prepared marinade powder, and the remaining dry masala and keep aside for Marination for about 4-5 hours or overnight in the refrigerator.
  4. Lay the strips on the skewers and baste them with some oil and grill them on charcoal or you can pan grill on medium flame.
  5. You can also bake them in oven.
