A tasteful healthy padwal bhaji made in kokan dessicated coconut or fresh scraped coconut.Tasteful simple yet very healthy .cooked in onion tomato garlic chilli.A handfullof coconut added when done. Enjoyed with roti or rice and also jawar flour roti.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 250 grams lambe Padwal (snake gourd)
  2. 1 cup coconut dessicated or scraped fresh
  3. 1 onion chopped fine
  4. 1 tomato cut fine
  5. 1tspn crushed garlic
  6. Salt to taste
  7. 1/2tspn turmeric
  8. 1tspn red chilli powder
  9. 1 tspn Cummin corriander powder
  10. 1tspn rai/mustard seeds
  11. 2 tblspn oil,I used fortune rice bran oil.
  12. Curry leaves


  1. Chop clean padwal wash well
  2. Keep all ingredients ready
  3. Make splutter of rai curry leaves
  4. Add onions and tomatoes
  5. Add all spices and salt now
  6. One katori water cover cook
  7. As its cooked or done add 1 cup coconut
  8. stirring well cook only minute on flame
  9. Serve hot
