Snake gourd extract is one of the best remedies for heart problems. It is a low-calorie food. It provides most of the needed nutrients without adding any fat to the body. Snake gourd is one of the healthiest vegetables as it is rich in essential minerals like magnesium, calcium and phosphorous.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Snake gourd : 1
  2. Mustard seeds : 1/2 tsp
  3. Cumin seeds : 1/2 tsp
  4. curry leaves
  5. Grated Coconut : 3 tsp
  6. Red chilli(s) : 2
  7. Onion : 1
  8. Salt
  9. oil


  1. Peel the skin of Snake gourd and chopped into small pieces
  2. Grind coconut, red chilli to make a smooth paste and keep aside
  3. Heat oil in a pan, saute mustard seed, Cumin seeds and curry leaves for 30 sec and add chopped onion.
  4. Add chopped Snake gourd saute for 1 min.
  5. Add Salt and required water. Cover and Cook for 10 min.
  6. Add Coconut paste (coconut, Red chilly) and cook for 3 mins.
