About Malai Prawn kofta curry Recipe

Everyone knows taste of ( prawn eater) malai curry. Usually I made malai curry with big prawns and coconut milk ( my kids don't like big one).so I thought, why not make this way ? Result was yumm and delicious.

Malai Prawn kofta curry

Ingredients to make Malai Prawn kofta curry

  • 1 cup Chopped prawns ( 10 -12 nos big prawns)
  • 1 small potato fried
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • 2-3 chillies
  • 1 tsp ginger chopped
  • 1 tsp garlic chopped
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • For gravy
  • 1 1/2 cup coconut milk
  • 2 nos cinnamon sticks
  • 4 nos cardamom
  • 4 nos clove
  • 1 nos onion paste
  • 1 tsp garlic paste
  • 1 tsp ginger paste
  • 1/2 cup Chopped tomato
  • 1 tsp chilly powder
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 tbsp ghee
  • oil

How to make Malai Prawn kofta curry

  1. Put prawns, onion, ginger, garlic, potato chillies and salt in the mixer and grind them into roughly paste.
  2. It must be coarse paste. Otherwise gravy is not going inside.
  3. Make balls and lite fry them.
  4. Heat oil ,add Bay leaf, cinnamon, cardamom and clove. When good smell come out then add onion paste, ginger garlic paste and fry it.
  5. Add chopped tomatoes, salt, chilly powder and sugar. Cook till smashy.
  6. Add coconut milk.
  7. Add lite fried prawn balls .
  8. Cook for 2-3 minutes ànd add ghee before switch off the gas.
  9. Serve with hot plain rice.

My Tip:

Adding of fried potato in the making of prawn balls, it becomes soft and juicy.
