Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 500 grams chicken (curry cut)
  2. ½ cup curd
  3. ½ tsp turmeric powder
  4. 1 tsp salt
  5. 1 tbsp coriander seeds
  6. ½ tsp peppercorn
  7. 1 tsp cumin seeds
  8. ¼ tsp fennel seeds
  9. ¼ tsp fenugreek seeds
  10. 3 cloves
  11. 8 Kashmiri red chilli
  12. 5 garlic cloves
  13. 1 tbsp tamarind pulp
  14. ½ cup water
  15. 2 tbsp ghee
  16. 2 sprig curry leaves

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken in curd, turmeric powder, and salt. Keep it aside for an hour.
  2. Heat a pan and add coriander seeds, peppercorn, cumin seeds, fennel seeds, fenugreek seeds, cloves and Kashmiri chillis. Dry roast them until they emit an aroma.
  3. Heat a pan and add coriander seeds, peppercorn, cumin seeds, fennel seeds, fenugreek seeds, cloves and Kashmiri chillis. Dry roast them until they emit an aroma.
  4. Once it starts to splutter add chicken and half fry the chicken
  5. Add masala paste, salt and curry leaves and mix well
  6. Let it cook on a low flame for 15 mins
  7. Garnish with coriander.
