Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. For Cake Batter
  2. 250 gms softened butter
  3. 1/2 cup Castor Sugar
  4. 1/4 cup oil
  5. 3 large bananas
  6. 4 eggs
  7. 1 cup milk
  8. 1 tsp vanilla essence
  9. 2 tsp baking soda
  10. 4 cups white flour (maida)
  11. 1 tsp salt
  12. 1 cup milk
  13. For Frosting
  14. 1 cup unsalted butter
  15. 2 cup icing sugar
  16. 1 tsp purple food colour
  17. 2 tbsp milk
  18. Few silver sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Beat butter and sugar together with an egg beater. Add bananas and oil. Mix well.
  2. Seive white flour, salt and baking soda. Add it to the butter-sugar mixture.
  3. Beat eggs and add it to the mixture. Add vanilla essence and milk. Mix well.
  4. Add the batter to the greased cake tin. Bake it in a preheated oven for 35-40 minutes at 180 degree celsius.
  5. Frosting
  6. Beat butter and icing sugar together. Add milk and beat until light and fluffy.
  7. Add purple food colour to the 1/4 mixture.
  8. Assemble
  9. Take out the baked cake from the oven and let it rest for 4-5 hours.
  10. Cut the cake in 3 layers. Spread a moderate layer of frosting on each layer.
  11. Cover the whole cake with white frosting.
  12. Decorate cake using purple frosting with nozzles, spoon and sprinkles.
