ABOUT Osmania biscuit RECIPE

It is popular tea biscuit in Hyderabad. It is little salty and sweet as well. It is flavoured with kesar and ilaychi powder.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. All purpose flour 1 cup
  2. Powdered sugar 1/4 cup
  3. Butter 50gm
  4. Ilaychi powder 1tsp
  5. Baking powder 1/4tsp
  6. Kesar
  7. Milk 1/2 cup
  8. Custard powder 2tbsp
  9. Milk powder 2tbsp

Instructions

  1. 1. Arrange all the ingredients.
  2. 2. These are all ingredients.
  3. 3. First of all take butter and add sugar. Then mix it well.
  4. 4. After mixing it becomes so creamy.
  5. 5. Then add flour to it.
  6. 6. After that add custard powder and mix well.
  7. 7. Then add milk powder.
  8. 8. Now put some ilaychi powder.
  9. 9. Then add baking powder.
  10. 10. Now knead the dough.
  11. 11. Dust the flour on the workstation and roll it slowly because it may break.
  12. 12. After rolling the dough take a cookie cutter or small glass to cut the biscuit.
  13. 13. Cut the biscuit with the help of glass.
  14. 14. Lift it up very gently with the help of kinfe. It may break.
  15. 15. See the texture of biscuit.
  16. 16. Now put it in disc in which it has to bake which is lined by butter and parchment paper.
  17. 17. Now pour Kesar wala milk all over the biscuit.
  18. 18. Then drain out the excess of milk
  19. 18. Bake it in preheated idli maker stand for 20 min.
  20. 19. Now Osmania biscuit is ready to eat.
  21. 20. Serve it with cup of tea.
  22. 21. See how crunchy it is.
