Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. 2 cups all purpose flour.
  2. 1 tbsp sugar.
  3. 1 tbsp baking powder.
  4. 1 1/2 tesp garlic powder.
  5. 1/2 tesp salt.
  6. 1 cup buttermilk.
  7. 1/2 cup melted butter.
  8. 1 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese.
  9. Topping: 3tbsp melted unsalted butter,2tesp finely chopped parsley leaves and 1/2 tesp garlic powder.


  1. Preheat oven 180℃.
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. In a bowl combine flour,sugar,baking powder,garlic powder and salt.
  4. In a bowl whisk melted butter and buttermilk.
  5. Pour it over the dry ingredients and mix well.
  6. Fold in the shredded cheddar cheese.
  7. Scoop 1/4 cup of the batter over the baking sheet 2" apart.
  8. Whisk butter, parsley and garlic powder in a bowl.
  9. Bake at 170℃ for 12 to 15 minutes,or till golden brown.
  10. Remove brush with butter mixture,serve hot.
