Very traditional authrntic sweet recipe very popular in northern India

Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. Refined flour 500 gram
  2. 250 gram ghee
  3. Mawa 500 gram
  4. Cashews 100 gram
  5. Almonds 100 gram
  6. Kishmish 100 gram
  7. Melon seeds 100 gram
  8. Dry coconut 100 gram
  9. Powdered sugar 500 gram
  10. Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Sieve the flour in a big pot
  2. Add melted ghee
  3. Now make a tight dough with the help of water
  4. Keep for rest covered with a cloth
  5. Now in a pan put mawa on medium heat
  6. Roast till fragrance comes out and turns pinkish
  7. Let it cool down
  8. Add chopped dry fruits and coconut in it
  9. Add sugar
  10. Mix well to make filling
  11. Now take small partion of the dough
  12. Roll it by rolling pin
  13. Fill the filling
  14. Apply the slury on corners
  15. Close it properly
  16. Cut or fold the extra corners
  17. Make all gunjias in the same way
  18. Deep fry on slow game till golden
  19. Keep in an airtight jar after cooling down
