Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Urad sabut daal... 3/4 cup
  2. Raj maa....1/4 cup
  3. Desi ghee...1 table spoon
  4. Tomato.... 2
  5. Salt and green chillies to taste
  6. Ginger....1" piece
  7. Red chilly powder....1/4 tea spoon
  8. Garam masala powder....1/2 tea spoon
  9. Cumin seed powder....1/4 tea spoon
  10. Cumin seeds....1/4 tea spoon
  11. Cream, malai or butter...1 table spoon

Instructions

  1. Soak urad and raj maa atleast for 4 hours
  2. Chop ginger and grind tomatoes with green chillies
  3. Pressure cook soaked daal with adequate water and salt for 20 minutes
  4. Let the pressure release on its own
  5. Now in a woke heat ghee (leave little for final tadka) add ginger let it cook for a while, now add tomatoes
  6. Add all spices also
  7. Saute well and add pressure cooker daal and mash daal a little bit
  8. Add malai or cream or butter, whatever using and let it cook
  9. Prepare tadka with ghee, cumin seed and red chilly powder and pour on serving bowl itself and enjoy
