Wash walnuts and dates well.
Roast the breadcrumbs, dry in a kadhai, till well roasted and you get a nice aroma, allow to cool.
Cook on medium flame, walnuts, carrots, almonds, raisins and dates in water and milk , till the carrots are cooked.
Add breadcrumbs(and 1/4 tsp of yellow colouring if liked) and saffron and cook further stirring all the time , till the mixture becomes dry.
Add sugar and Cook till the halwa becomes semi sold.
Stir in cardamom and ghee, fry for a minute.
To be served hot.
