Spicy Potato Doughnut

Ingredients to make Spicy Potato Doughnut

  • Breadcrumbs - from 8 to 10 slices of breads
  • potatoes (large) - 2 nos
  • onion - 1 medium size (chopped finely)
  • ginger - 1/2 inch piece
  • garlic - 3 nos
  • Aamchoor powder - ½ tsp
  • turmeric powder - ¼ tsp
  • chilli powder - 1 tsp
  • Garam masala Powder - 1 tsp
  • Pav baji masala powder - 1 tsp
  • salt - to taste
  • oil - for deep frying

How to make Spicy Potato Doughnut

  1. Peel the skin from the potatoes and boil it with garlic and ginger.
  2. In a bowl add bread crumbs, finely chopped onions,salt, chilli powder, pav baji masala powder, garam masala powder and mix well.
  3. Mash the boiled potatoes, garlic and ginger well and add it to the bread crumbs mixture,
  4. Mix well till all the ingredients get incorporated.(If needed sprinkle some water).
  5. Shape the mixture into balls and flatten it slightly and with the doughnut cutter press it. then you will get the shape of doughnut and keep aside.
  6. Heat oil in a pan and gently slide the potato doughnuts into the hot oil and deep fry till golden colour in a medium flame.
  7. Drain it in a colander and the Potato doughnuts are ready to serve.
  8. Serve hot with tomato ketchup.
