About Mawa Peda Recipe

Mawa peda is made from evaporated milk(mawa), sugar, ghee and cardamom powder. Pedas are famous sweet originating from Mathura region, there on it has moved on to various parts of india. you can make mawa pade easily at home with this recipe.

Mawa Peda

Ingredients to make Mawa Peda

  • 200 grams mawa
  • 200 grams powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp ghee
  • 1 tsp cardamom powder

How to make Mawa Peda

  1. take a kadai. place it over medium flame and heat ghee
  2. add mawa and saute until mawa turns into brown colour, stir continuously to avoid burn at the bottom
  3. when mawa turns brown, switch off the flame and keep it aside for cooling down slightly
  4. now add sugar, cardamom powder and mix well
  5. rub the mixture with hands, you will find that mixture has formed into dough
  6. make lemon sized balls from the dough, flatten them witn your palm and give them some imprints or design
  7. mawa peda is ready to serve
