Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Urad dal - 5 table spoon
  2. Red chilly - 4
  3. Grated coconut - 7 tablespoon
  4. Salt - as needed
  5. Jaggery - 1/2 spoon
  6. Water - as needed
  7. For tempering :
  8. Mustard seeds
  9. Curry leaves.


  1. Grate the coconut and set aside.
  2. Take a pan heat a spoon of oil and when it is hot add urad dal , red chilly.
  3. When dal turns golden brown switch off the flame and add coconut.
  4. Mix it well.
  5. Allow it cool completely.
  6. Add salt and jaggery to the misture.
  7. Grind it to a smooth paste using needed water.
  8. Temper it with mustard seeds and curry leaves.
