Made of skinless urad dal and deep fried and can be used as sambar vada or as dahi bhalla

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. Skinless urad dal 1 cup
  2. Salt 1/2 tsp
  3. Cumin seeds powder 1/2 tsp
  4. Oil for frying


  1. Soak urad dal whole night.
  2. Next morning drain excess water and make thick paste of it.
  3. Then add salt and cumin seeds powder to it.
  4. Mix the batter in one direction.
  5. Then heat oil in pan.
  6. Wet your hand with water .Take a small amount of batter and shape it into a round shape round with a hole in centre.
  7. Deep fry them at medium flame till its golden brown from both sides.
  8. Repeat the process till all done.
