Nankhatais are Indian Cookies that are famous for their melt in mouth texture.

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. All purpose flour 1 cup
  2. Besan 1/3 cup
  3. Semolina (suji) 1 tbsp
  4. Dessicated coconut 1 tbsp
  5. Sugar Powder 1/2 cup
  6. Oil 1/2 cup
  7. Baking soda 1/2 tsp
  8. salt 1/4 tsp
  9. Cardamom powder 1/2 tsp
  10. Chironji or Chopped nuts for garnishing


  1. In a bowl, beat sugar powder and oil.
  2. Mix all the dry ingredients well.
  3. Now add sugar and oil mix and make a crumbly mix.
  4. Now, pinch small portions of the mix and make small nankhatais.
  5. Press some dry fruits on each nankhatai.
  6. Lay parchment paper on a baking tray and lay each nankhatai on the tray.
  7. Preheat the oven or the convection mode of the microwave at 150 degrees.
  8. Bake the nankhatai for 12-15 minutes.
  9. Cool them on a wire rack and then store in airtight containers.
