Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 1/2 cup leftover rajma (without gravy)
  2. 1/2 cup leftover rice
  3. 1/4 cup whole wheat flour
  4. 1 tbsp all purpose flour
  5. 1 tsp kashmiri red chilli powder
  6. 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  7. 1/4 tsp roasted jeera powder
  8. 1/2 tsp salt (since rajma and rice both have salt to taste)
  9. 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
  10. 1 tsp finely chopped green chillies
  11. For gravy:
  12. 2 tbsp oil
  13. 1 cup chopped onions
  14. 1 tsp garam masala
  15. Water as required
  16. 1/4 cup of leftover gravy of rajma
  17. Oil as required for deep frying
  18. Coriander leaves for garnishing


  1. Crush the rajma, rice with chopper.
  2. Add both the floors and spices to the crushed rajma and rice.
  3. Mix everything properly.
  4. Make small balls from the above mixture.
  5. Make all the above koftas similarly.
  6. Heat oil and deep fry the koftas
  7. Heat them on medium flame.
  8. Fry them till golden brown.
  9. Keep the koftas aside.
  10. In a pan heat the oil.
  11. Add the chopped onions.
  12. Saute them till it becomes pinkish.
  13. Add the water, garam masala and leftover gravy of rajma and cook for 1-2 minutes.
  14. Now add the fried koftas to the gravy and cook for about 4-5 minutes.
  15. Serve the koftas in serving bowl and garnish with coriander leaves.
