Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Biyyam ravva or biyyam nooka 1 cup
  2. salt as per taste
  3. Sesame seeds 1/4 cup
  4. For tempering....
  5. Groundnut 4 tbsp
  6. Channa dal 2 tbsp
  7. Urad dal 2 tbsp
  8. Mustard seeds 1 tbsp
  9. Hing 1 tsp
  10. Oil 1/2 cup
  11. Turmeric 1/2 tsp
  12. Lemon 2
  13. Curry leaves 2 patta
  14. Green chillies 4
  15. Red Chillies 2


  1. Firstly take a pan and add water 2 cups and boil.
  2. Add turmeric , salt and 3 tbsp of oil in to boiling water
  3. Now add 1 cup of cracked rice in to the boiling water without forming lumps and set the flame to low and close with a lid for 10 mins
  4. After sometime you can see that the cracked is well cooked it should not be mashy..
  5. Now let the cooked one should be cool down
  6. In the meanwhile take a pan and dry roast sesame seeds and grind it when cooled
  7. Take another pan and add oil and put all the ingredients which are under "to temper"
  8. After tempering add sesame seed powder and the tempered mixture into the cooked cracked rice
  9. Mix all the above mixture gently and add lemon accordingly
