Made this dumplings using leftover rice with coconut stuffing.

Ingredients to make Leftover rice sweet dumplings

  • 1 1/2 cup leftover rice
  • 1 tbsp bombay rawa
  • 1/2 cup rice flour
  • 1 tbsp ghee
  • 1 cup grated coconut
  • 1/2 cup nolen gud
  • 1/4 cup dry fruits
  • honey
  • Few drops red colour

How to make Leftover rice sweet dumplings

  1. Boli the gud with adding 1/4 cup water and add coconut. Cook it till dry.
  2. Add dry fruits in the cooked coconut and keep aside
  3. Put leftover rice in mixer jar and make it a fine paste. Try not use water or any liquid.
  4. Mix Bombay rawa , rice flour and pinch of salt with rice paste.
  5. Add one tbsp ghee and make a dough .
  6. Make small roundles from the dough. Flatten the roundle and put some coconut stuffing.
  7. Shape the stuffed balls like pumpkin.
  8. Take little amount of dough and mix red colour. Make the top portion of the dumplings.
  9. Put the dumplings in the steamer and steam for 7-10 minutes.
  10. Serve hot rice dumplings with honey... Yummy leftover rice dumplings are ready
