ABOUT Schezwan double-decker Idli pancake sandwich RECIPE

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Leftover Idli batter 1cup
  2. For stuffing
  3. Mayonnaise 1/2cup
  4. Finely chopped green bell pepper 1 tablespoon
  5. Finely chopped carrot 1 tablespoon
  6. Onion minced 1 tablespoon
  7. Tomato ketchup 1/2 tablespoon
  8. Other ingredients
  9. Schezwan sauce 1 tablespoon
  10. Oil 1 tablespoon

Instructions

  1. First add chopped vegetables, mayonnaise and ketchup in a bowl and mix nicely. Keep aside.
  2. Now heat a non stick tawa and grease with oil.
  3. Now pour 1 ladle of idli batter on it and shallow fry till golden brown from both sides. Add more oil drops. Cook on low flame to get evenly cooked idli pancake.
  4. Ready all idli pancakes in same way.
  5. Now take an idli pancake and spread ready stuffing on it. Cover it with another pancake. Again spread schezwan sauce on second pancake top and cover it with stuffing . Now cover it with ready pancake again.
  6. In this way double-decker roasted idli pancake sandwich will be ready.
  7. It is very healthy option to have in any time of the day.
  8. Cottage cheese slice can also be layered to make it more nutritious.
