ABOUT Chupa Rustam Pasta Butter Masala RECIPE

This is a healthy pasta recipe and also kids friendly. Generally kids don't like to eat vegetables so in this pasta I have made red sauce using tomatoes and bell peppers so kids can eat there favourite pasta without making any fuss about the vegetables. That is why I call it Chupa Rustam Pasta. This pasta can be made for lunch, dinner or anytime snacking.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 1-1/2 cups Fusilli pasta
  2. 4 tomatoes chopped
  3. 1 cup Green, yellow and red bell peppers chopped
  4. 1/4 cup Frozen corns
  5. 1 Onion cut into small cubes
  6. 1 tbsp garlic finely chopped
  7. 1/2 tsp chilli flakes
  8. Salt to taste
  9. 1 tsp dried Italian herbs
  10. 1/2 tsp Oregano
  11. 2 tbsp butter for saute
  12. 1 tsp Oil for boiling pasta
  13. 1 tsp Salt for boiling pasta

Instructions

  1. Heat water in a deep vessel with salt and 1 tsp oil and when water starts boiling add fusilli pasta and cook till al-dente (just cooked).
  2. Drain in a colander and rinse with water and keep aside.
  3. In a pan add 1 tbsp butter and roast bell peppers for a minute on high heat. Keep aside.
  4. Now in the same pan roast tomatoes for 5 minutes to make them little mushy. Keep aside to cool a little.
  5. Boil the frozen corns for 1 minute, strain and keep aside.
  6. Now nicely blend together all bell peppers and tomatoes in a blender.
  7. In a pan, heat 1 tbsp butter and saute garlic and then add chilli flakes.
  8. Add onions and saute till little golden in colour. Don't over roast the onions.
  9. Now add in the red sauce, corns and add salt, dried Italian herbs and oregano and mix nicely.
  10. Now switch off the gas and add in your boiled pasta and mix nicely.
  11. Chupa Rustam Pasta Butter Masala is ready. Serve hot
  12. Tip: you can keep little roasted bell peppers aside and add it while adding pasta in the end, it will add nice crunch.
