Ingredients to make Yellow chicken

  • Boneless chicken pieces cut in cubes 500 gm
  • Yellow mustard seeds 2 tbsp
  • sesame seeds 1 tsp
  • almonds 10 -12
  • turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  • Fresh cream 1 tbsp
  • Hung curd 2-3 tsp
  • green chilly powder 1tsp
  • garlic minced 4-5
  • olive oil 1 tbsp
  • butter 1 tsp
  • A pinch of black pepper powder
  • Dark soya sauce 1 tsp
  • salt as per taste
  • oil or butter for basting

How to make Yellow chicken

  1. Clean and wash the chicken pieces thoroughly and keep in strainer to remove excess water
  2. Make a fyn paste of mustard,sesame seeds and almonds
  3. In a large bowl take tha hung curd add the made paste, and all the ingredients except butter
  4. Add the chicken pieces and mix well
  5. Marinate the chicken and keep it covered for at least an hour
  6. Now arrange the chicken in skewers and cook them on a tandoor till dine from all sides
  7. To keep the chicken soft bast it with butter while cooking
  8. Serve hot with green chutney

My Tip:

You can alternatively fry the chicken on a pan or even grill it in an oven
