Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 1 cup yellow moong dal
  2. 1/4 tsp cumin seeds
  3. A pinch hing
  4. 2 dry red chilli
  5. 1/4tsp turmeric powder
  6. 1/4 tsp red chilli powder
  7. 2 tbs desi ghee
  8. Coriander leaves.


  1. Soak the dal for 10 minutes
  2. Heat ghee in a pan
  3. Add hing [asafoetida]
  4. Put dry red chilli
  5. Add cumin seeds.
  6. Put red chilli powder.
  7. Add dal and 1 1/2 cup water.
  8. Add turmeric powder.
  9. Add salt
  10. Cook on simmer
  11. Till dry.
  12. Add coriander leaves.
