In Peshawari "chapli"means "flat".This mutton kebab is flat in appearence,so called "chapli kebab".

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Minced mutton 250grams.
  2. Chopped spring onion/common onion 1cup.
  3. Chopped green chillies.
  4. Tomatoes 4nos.
  5. Salt 1tea spoon.
  6. Oil 200ml.
  7. Ginger paste 2table spoon.
  8. Garlic paste 1tea spoon.
  9. For chapli kebab masala:
  10. Coriander seeds 2table spoon.
  11. Pepper corn1table spoon.
  12. Cumin seeds 1table spoon.
  13. Chat masala 1tea spoon.
  14. Blach salt 1tea spoon.
  15. Cloves 4nos .
  16. Green cardemom 4nos .


  1. Make slices of 2tomatoes and keep aside.
  2. Dry grind coarsely,all the spices under chapli kebab masala caption.Keep aside.
  3. Mince mutton once again in grinder to get a smooth textured keema.
  4. Add salt,spring onion,grren chillies, 2table spoons of chapli kebab masala,giger and garlic paste.
  5. Mix well and leave for 30minutes.
  6. Finely chopp remaining 2tomatoes.
  7. Aftet 30minutes mix chopped tomatoes to keema and make equall sized 10 balls.
  8. Flaten each ball ,put a slice of tomato over and shallow fry on medium flame till golden.
  9. Fry on low to medium flame.
