Spiral cone chaat is stuffed plain flour cones with potatoes and chaat along with chutney.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. For preparing cones-
  2. 1 kg plain flour
  3. Salt to taste
  4. Water as needed for kneading dough
  5. Plain flour for rolling and Dusting dough
  6. For filling/stuffing-
  7. 2-3 medium-sized boiled potatoes
  8. 2 teaspoon corn -flour
  9. 1 cup boiled corn
  10. 1 medium sized finely chopped tomato
  11. 1 medium sized finely chopped onion
  12. 1 Teaspoon Chilli Powder
  13. 1 teaspoon chaat masala
  14. 1 teaspoon roasted cumin powder
  15. 1 teaspoon aamchur powder
  16. Salt to taste
  17. 2 teaspoon masala peanuts
  18. 2 teaspoon spicy chana dal
  19. 1 cup masala boondi
  20. 1 cup murmura
  21. 1 cup sev
  22. 2 teaspoon coriander leaves chopped
  23. 2 cup whisked curd
  24. 1 cup tamarind chutney (use as per need)
  25. 1 cup green chutney (use as per need )
  26. Sev as per need for Garnishing
  27. 2 teaspoon ketchup for Garnishing
  28. Oil for Deep frying
  29. Aluminium cone mould as many cones you want to make


  1. Mix plain flour and salt in pot and knead semi stiff dough with water, keep aside.
  2. Now take boiled mashed potatoes in bowl ,add corn flour mix it and make tiny balls with hands
  3. Take oil in pan ,when it is little hot ,shallow fry potato balls .Keep it on kitchen paper towel.
  4. Now in bowl ,add chopped tomato,onion,sev ,murmura ,chopped coriander leaves,corn ;masala peanut,masala boondi ,spicy chana dal ,add 1 teaspoon of tamarind chutney,green chutney and curd too add salt ,chilli powder ,aamchur powder,chaat masala ,roasted cumin powder and mix well.
  5. In another bowl add whisked curd and masala boondi, mix well.
  6. For cone -now take dough ,make equal ball from it, dust with plain flour and roll spreading little flour then make chapatti.
  7. With knife cut long strips from chappati.
  8. Cover strips as spiral shape on aluminium cone mould .from starting to end cover it..and at the starting and end seal with water, make cones one by one
  9. Now heat oil in kadai on medium heat.when it's properly hot then deep fry these cones carefully.turn sides till it becomes crispy and brown and remove it on kitchen towel paper .
  10. Now cool it down then remove that aluminium cone mould carefully and take plain flour cone .
  11. Now ready to filled stuffing in it.fill potato mixture in it then pour 1 teaspoon of tamarind chutney ,green chutney and curd, again fill boondi mixture then fill chaat mixture, again pour all chutney on it .sprinkle sev on it .pour little ketchup along with chutney on it .Sprinkle chaat masala and serve it in glass. Then immediately enjoy it.
