Simple Dal recipe with Tomato

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. 2 cups Masoor Dal
  2. 1 large size tomato chopped into pieces
  3. 2 tsp Radhuni powder(a Bengali spice )
  4. Salt to taste
  5. 2 green chilly
  6. 2 curry leaves
  7. 1 tsp turmeric powder
  8. 1 mini sweet pepper

Instructions

  1. Take 2 cups of Masoor Dal.
  2. Add 2 cups of water and boil Dal with 1/2 tsp salt and 1/2 tsp turmeric powder.
  3. In a flat pan,add 2 tsp of ghee.In it,add 2 tsp Radhuni powder,1/2 tsp salt and 2 green chilly.
  4. Add the tomatoes and fry on low flame for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Once the Tomato melts,add the boiled Dal and add 1/2 cup water.Simmer it on low flame for 5-6 minutes.Add 1 mini bell pepper cut into halves and garnish with 2-3 curry leaves.Tomato Masoor Dal is ready.Serve with white rice.
