Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. 1 cup saboot masoor dal
  2. 2 medium chopped onions
  3. 4 large chopped tomatoes
  4. 1 small chopped capsicum
  5. 2 tsp chilli, ginger, garlic paste
  6. 1/4th tsp turmeric powder
  7. 1 tsp garam masala
  8. 1/2 tsp jeera
  9. 2 tbsp ghee
  10. 1/2 tsp amchoor powder
  11. 1 tbsp fresh cream
  12. Coriander for garnishment
  13. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the masoor Dal in the pressure cooker by adding a pinch of salt in the Dal.
  2. In a pan heat ghee and on heating add jeera on spluttering add chilli, ginger and garlic paste.
  3. Add onions and cook until golden brown in colour.
  4. Add the chopped tomatoes and capsicums and cook till it softens.
  5. Add turmeric Powder. Add the cooked Dal. Add garam masala,amchoor powder and cook for 5 more minutes.
  6. Switch off the gas. Add fresh cream and garnish with chopped coriander leaves. Serve hot with roti or rice.
