About Tomato Farci aux Spinach Recipe

Its prepare in tomato ,cut into 2 halves and stuffed with any choice of veg or non veg ,and baked in oven,which is famous in Provence city in France.

Tomato Farci aux Spinach

Ingredients to make Tomato Farci aux Spinach

  • tomatoes -6
  • For Stuffing :
  • spinach -3 cups,chopped
  • onion -1, large and finely chopped
  • garlic pods -3 ,minced
  • oil -1 tbsp
  • salt -to taste
  • Cayenne pepper - 1 tsp
  • Grated Mozzarella cheese -1 cup

How to make Tomato Farci aux Spinach

  1. Preheat the oven at 190 °C..Wash and wipe out the tomatoes.Cut the tomatoes on top into a thin slices and scoop out the pulp.Place it ina baking tray lined with aluminium foil and Keep it aside.
  2. In a kadai heat the oil and saut the garlic pods and onion .Once the onion turns transculent add the spinach.Saute well and cover with lid and cook it for 5 mins.
  3. Once the leaves are shrink and add salt ,cayenne pepper.Switch off the flame.Let it be cool down.
  4. First sprinkle some grated cheese in each tomatoes and fill the spinach stuffing upto 3/4 th of the tomaotoes.Finally cover the top with more cheese.
  5. Bake it for 20 mins OR until the cheese melts .Serve hot !!

My Tip:

Stuffing is our choice..In veg version we love spinach stuffing.
