it is a tasty chutny with goodness of both tomato and gingelly(til)

Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. Quarter cup til
  2. Seven slit green chillies
  3. three chopped tomato
  4. few garlic pods
  5. pinch of turmeric
  6. chilly powder half spoon
  7. mint and/or chopped coriander (optional)
  8. salt to taste
  9. four medium flakes of tamarind
  10. ground nut oil for tadka


  1. keep the required ingredients ready
  2. dry roast the til and grind it to powder
  3. Heat two spoon oil, add slit chillies, turmeric, chopped tomatoes, few garlic pods, little tamarind,chilly powder salt and mint (optional)
  4. saute for a while and grind along with til powder without adding water
  5. yummy tangy tomato chutny is ready . can be set with anything rice, rotis, idli dosa, upma etc etc
