Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Onion-1
  2. Tomato-2
  3. Ginger and garlic paste-1 spoon
  4. Green chili-1
  5. Curry leaves-handful
  6. Mint leaves- handful
  7. Red chilli powder-1 spoon
  8. Coriander powder-1 spoon
  9. Garam masala-1 spoon
  10. Cumin seeds powder-1 spoon
  11. Oil-2 tablespoon
  12. Coconut-1 cup
  13. Cashews- handful
  14. Cinnamon-1 no
  15. Cloves-1 no
  16. cardamom-1 no
  17. Saunf-1/2 spoon
  18. Salt-as required

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan fry cinnamon, cloves, cardamom and saunf.
  2. Add onion, green chilli and curry leaves and fry till onion turns translucent.
  3. Add tomato, ginger and garlic paste and fry till tomato turns mushy.
  4. Add all dry masala powder and pour water .
  5. Add mint leaves, coriander leaves and salt.
  6. Allow it to cook for 5 minutes. Now blend coconut and cashews to fine paste.
  7. Add cashew and coconut paste. Cook for another 15 minutes on medium flame till oil comes up .
  8. Turn off flame and serve hot with idli, Dosa, appam and roti
