Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. Ripe tomato - 1 kg
  2. Sugar - 3/4 kg
  3. Salt - a pinch
  4. Lemon juice - 2 tsp
  5. Cinnamon powder - 1/2 tsp
  6. Clove powder - 1/2 tsp

Instructions

  1. Wash the tomato.
  2. Boil water in a pan.
  3. Turn off the flame and add all tomatoes in hot water for 5 - 10 mins
  4. Remove the skin of the tomato and cut into small pieces.
  5. Add in the grinder to make a paste.
  6. Boil the tomato puree for 15 mins in medium flame.
  7. When it thick add sugar,cinnamon and cloves powder and mix well.
  8. Stir occasionaly in a medium flame
  9. When its thick like jam add lemon juice and mix well.
  10. Turn off the flame.
  11. Once cooled keep in the air tight container.
