Ingredients to make Bun Chana Chat

  • Boiled chick peas - 1/2 cup
  • Boiled potatoes-1
  • onion chopped -1
  • tomato chopped-1
  • tamarind chutney - 2 tsp
  • salt-1 tbsp
  • green chillies chopped -2
  • Vegetable oil-1 tbsp
  • Chat masala -1 tbsp
  • Amchoor -1/2 tsp
  • Garam masala -1/2 tsp
  • Dhaniya Powder -1/2 tsp
  • jeera Powder-1/2 tsp
  • cumin seeds -1/2 tsp
  • Buns -3
  • Some sweet chutney
  • Some spicy green chutney
  • Some besam sev for garnishing
  • Some chopped onions for garnishing.

How to make Bun Chana Chat

  1. Let the chickpeas soak overnight and then boil for 30 minutes until soft.
  2. Now in a bowl,take chick peas,chopped potatoes,onions,tomatoes, green chillies ,chat marsala,amchoor,garam masala, dhaniya powder,jeera powder,salt,t tamarind sauce.
  3. Mix well.
  4. Now take a pan ,heat oil add cumin seeds and let them splutter. Then add the mixture made and let it cool for 15 minutes. There should not be too much gravy.
  5. The chana or chickpeas are ready.
  6. Now take a bun. Cut it from the top centre like a hollow.
  7. Put some sweet chutney and spicy green chutney in it. The fill with the chana mixture. Then put some chopped onions on top and some sev. And again some sweet and spicy chutneys.
  8. The bun chana chat is ready to serve.
