About Rajasthani Green Chilli Pickle Recipe

In the winter season, pickles of green chilli are very much preferred in Rajasthan. It is very simple, quick to prepare and served with Bajra roti and jaggery

Rajasthani Green Chilli Pickle

Ingredients to make Rajasthani Green Chilli Pickle

  • 500 gm Green chilli
  • 3 tbsp mustard seeds
  • 1/2tsp turmeric powder
  • 1tsp fennel seeds
  • 2tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp asafoetida
  • 2tbsp lemon juice
  • 3TBSP oil

How to make Rajasthani Green Chilli Pickle

  1. Wash the green chillies.
  2. Slit the chillies lengthwise
  3. Coarsely grind mustard seeds in grinder
  4. In a bowl mix mustard seeds with Turmeric powder, fennel seeds, asafoetida ,salt. Stuffing mixture is ready.
  5. Now stuff all chillies with prepared mixture.
  6. In a wok heat oil on medium flame . When oil is heated, off the flame and let be cool it.
  7. Now pour the heated oil on stuff chillies.
  8. Add lemon juice.
  9. Keep chilli pickle in a glass or ceramic jar and covered with clean cloth.
  10. Within 2-3 days Yummy mustard chilli pickle is ready.
  11. Enjoy!
