ABOUT Tomato Chilla (Pudla) RECIPE

Chilla (Pudla) is Gujarati recipe. Pudla is one type of chilla. Generally chilla is made from garm flour. But today i have made multigrain chilla with tomatoes. In this recipe along with gram flour i have added milet flour, wheat flour, maize flour and sorghum flour. This recipe is very easy as well as healty.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 1.5 cups gram flour
  2. 1/2 cup wheat flour
  3. 1/4 cup maize flour
  4. 1/4 cup milet flour
  5. 1/4 cup sorghum flour
  6. 1 tsp ginger chilli paste
  7. 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  8. 1 tsp red chilli powder
  9. 1 tsp Cumin Coriander powder
  10. 1/4 tsp carom seeds
  11. 1/4 tsp Sesame seeds
  12. Water as require
  13. 1 cup finely chopped tomatoes
  14. 1/2 cup finely chopped coriander leaves
  15. Pinch of chaat masala powder
  16. Oil or Butter for fry
  17. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Take a bowl.
  2. Add wheat flour, millet flour, shorgum flour, Maize flour and gram flour into it.
  3. Now add salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, cumin coriander powder, carom seeds, Sesame seeds and Ginger Chilli paste.
  4. Add water is require.
  5. Make a thick better with the help of whisker.
  6. Make sure there will be no lumps.
  7. Better should be not too think or not too thin.
  8. Keep better aside.
  9. Now take a dosa pan.
  10. Add little oil or butter into it.
  11. Spread it with the help of brush.
  12. Now pour a small quantity of better and spread it into pan.
  13. Make round chilla.
  14. Now add some tomatoes and coriander leaves onto the Chilla.
  15. Again pour some more better onto it.
  16. Again spread it well.
  17. Sprinkle chat masala.
  18. Greece some more butter or oil.
  19. Fry the Chilla until golden brown.
  20. By repeating this steps make all the chilla.
  21. Serve hot with tomato ketchup.
