My family love chicken. That's why sometimes I try to cook on my own ideas. This is one of them, I'm sure everyone not only like, they'll love.

Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. chicken Drumsticks with skin - 8 pieces
  2. Greek yoghurt or hung curd - 1/4 Cup
  3. lemon juice - 2 tbsp
  4. garlic paste - 2 tsp
  5. ginger paste - 1 tsp
  6. lemon zest - 1 tsp
  7. Green chilli paste - 1 tbsp
  8. chickpea flour or Besan - 2 tbsp
  9. turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  10. Red chilli powder - 1 tsp
  11. cumin powder - 1 tbsp
  12. coriander powder - 1 tbsp
  13. Melted butter - 2 tbsp
  14. salt - as per taste


  1. Wash the chiken first and pat dry.
  2. In a bowl take yoghurt, ginger - garlic paste, green chilli paste, lemon juice and lemon zest.
  3. Make a thick paste.
  4. Further add salt and butter.
  5. Put a wide frying pan on a low medium flame.
  6. Add chickpea flour and dry roast.
  7. Stir continuesly otherwise besan get burn easily.
  8. When you can smell beautiful aromatic smell turn off the flame and set aside the besan.
  9. Again put the wide frying pan on a low medium flame.
  10. Now add cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, chilli powder.
  11. Dry roast them as well.
  12. Mix the roasted Besan, roasted spices with the yoghurt paste.
  13. With a sharp knife cut the chicken round and round like a ring shape, but everything should be join with the bone.
  14. Put the chicken in the yoghurt and Besan and spice mixtures what we've made before.
  15. Rub the spices with the chicken very well and coat nicely.
  16. Wrap up the bowl of marinated chicken with a cling wrap and rest in the fridge for at least 3-4 hours.
  17. Pre heat the oven on 250 degree celsius.
  18. Roast the chicken for 30-45 mins. ** Timing will vary as per oven condition and set up. So it might take bit long or less. **
  19. Enjoy with your favourite dipping sauce.
