  5. Vanilla essence : 1 tsp
  6. Dry Ingredients :
  7. Atta : 1 cup
  8. Suji : 1/2 cup
  9. Custard powder : 3 tbsp (butterscotch flavour)
  10. Salt a pinch
  11. Baking powder : 1 1/2 tsp
  12. Cornflour : 3 tbsp
  13. Milk as needed to thin the batter

Instructions

  1. To make sugar syrup heat water, sugar and elaichi powder. Stir continuously till the sugar dissolves. Switch off the gas. Cool it.
  2. In another bowl take atta, suji, salt, baking powder, custard powder and cornflour. Mix well.
  3. Now mix sugar syrup in atta mixture and mix it into a smooth batter. Batter should not be too thick not too thin. If the batter is too thick add milk little by little to adjust the consistency of the batter.

  5. Heat non stick tawa.
  6. Drizzle some oil on the tawa. Slow the flame. Pour ladleful of batter on tawa. Don't spread. Heat on slow flame until bubbles are seen on top.
  7. After a few mins, tiny holes will appear on top. Then flip the side.
  8. Again cook for 2-3 min on slow and then turn the gas on high. Keep a watch so that it does not get burnt.
  9. Turn it on the plate and serve with honey or chocolate syrup or ice cream.

Hi Avni, can you please remove the watermark (with your name). We are preparing your cookbook and it will not look good with a cut off watermark.
