No wheat , no Maida , gluten free Malpuas for this festive season . Relish this dessert happily .

Gluten free Malpuas

Ingredients to make Gluten free Malpuas

  • White thin Poha flakes 1 cup
  • Tapioca flour 1/4 cup
  • Foxtail millet flour 2 tablespoons
  • Water chestnut flour 1/2 cup
  • Vanilla essence 1 teaspoon
  • Rabri with dry fruits ( sweetened ) 1 cup
  • Heavy cream 2 tablespoons
  • Whole milk 1.5 cup or as required
  • honey 2 tablespoons
  • ghee 2 teaspoons
  • baking soda a pinch
  • ghee for shallow frying 6 tablespoons
  • Rabri 2 cups for serving along with Malpuas

How to make Gluten free Malpuas

  1. In a mixer grinder , add thin Poha flakes and powder into a fine Powder .
  2. Sift the Poha flour and transfer it a bowl .
  3. Add tapioca flour .
  4. Add the millet flour .
  5. Add water chestnut flour .
  6. Add baking soda .
  7. Start adding the sweetened Rabri .
  8. Add vanilla essence .
  9. Add honey .
  10. Then followed by milk gradually .
  11. Keep whisking the flours until smooth lump free thick batter achieved .
  12. Finally add 2 teaspoons ghee.
  13. Mix all to a fluffy batter .
  14. Heat ghee in a pan for shallow frying . Deep frying can also be done is preferred .
  15. Pour 1/4 ladle batter on the hot ghee .
  16. Flip and fry both sides in medium flame .
  17. Healthy creamy yummy Malpuas are ready .
  18. Serve with Rabri .

My Tip:

Palm candies are used as sweetener in Rabri .
