Homemade marzipan i made with powdered cashews.With a new idea i added Hershey's cocoa and also Hershey's syrup to get a great taste to my marzipan.I hope you all will like it.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Cashew nut - 1 cup (250 grams)
  2. Icing sugar - 1 cup (250 grams)
  3. Sugar solution -4 tbsp ( dissolve 2 tbsp sugar in quarter a cup of hot water )
  4. Hershey's cocoa powder - 4 tbsp
  5. Hershey's chocolate syrup - 2 tbsp
  6. Yellow food colour - 2 drops


  1. Grind the cashews to a fine powder. But be careful, you must grind it in intervals else cashews will release its natural oil. Then sieve it well.
  2. To this add the icing sugar (after sieving).
  3. Now let's make a dough using sugar solution, add it little by little. I added 4 tsp of sugar solution only, so add accordingly. 
  4. Knead it very well and form a soft dough.
  5. Divide the dough into two portions.
  6. Make a hole in the centre and add yellow food colour to one portion.
  7. To second portion add Hershey's cocoa powder, Hershey's chocolate syrup.
  8. Again knead them separately.
  9. When done, make small balls out of this dough and shape it using a silicon mould. (instead, you can roll this dough out and cut into desired shapes).
  10. Keep them on the parchment paper once done and let it set aside to dry completely (preferably overnight or at least 8 hours).Marzipan is ready to use.
