ABOUT Marzipan RECIPE

Marzipan is a special sweet made during christmas.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Almond Flour- 150- grams
  2. Castor Sugar- 150- grams
  3. Rose Water- 4- teaspoons
  4. Almond Essence- 1/2- teaspoon
  5. Edible food Color(optional)- 2- drops

Instructions

  1. Soak 1 cup Almonds in hot water and leave it over night. Later strain the water and remove the skin of the Almonds. Place them on a dry cloth and cover them until they dry.
  2. In a mixer blitz the Almonds until u make it into a fine powder. now keep it aside.
  3. Transfer the powder and sifted sugar and almond essence along with the rose water into the almond powder. Mix it well to form a smooth dough.
  4. Divide the dough into 3 equal parts Add the different edible food colors (red,orange, green) one to two drops in each dough(depending on how dark you like it.
  5. Grease your palms a bit with little ghee so that the dough doesn't stick to your hands. Then start rolling them into small balls or you can give them fruit shapes of your choice.
  6. Take a parchment paper Dust it with a little bit of powder sugar Now place the Marzipans on the paper.
  7. You can keep the Marzipans in an airtight container at room temperature for upto 5 days.
