Usually Adai or lentil dosa takes a lot of pre preparation but if one wants to make adai instantly ,then here is the recipe . This is called pancharatna adai as pancha means five .Here we use five types of healthy flours in this recipe and hence the name.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Foxtail millet flour 1/2 cup
  2. Rice flour 1/2 cup
  3. Ragi flour 1/2 cup
  4. Bajra flour -1/2 cup
  5. Besan Flour 1/2 cup
  6. Methi leaves one bunch
  7. Carrot grated 1
  8. Green chilli paste 1/2 teaspoon
  9. Salt to taste
  10. Red chilli powder 1 teaspoon
  11. Asefoetida powder 1/2 teaspoon
  12. Curry leaves and coriander leaves few
  13. Gingelly oil few teaspoons for making adai


  1. Take equal measure of all the required flour
  2. In a vessel mix all the given ingredients with needed water (except oil ) to form a thick batter.
  3. Allow the batter to rest for fifteen minutes.
  4. In hot tawa pour a laddle of batter and make thick adai. Drizzle oil and cook in medium flame until crisp on both sides.
  5. Serve with jaggery or coconut chutney
