Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. FOR THE BATTER
  2. 1/2 cup bajre ka atta
  3. 2 tbsp curd
  4. 1/4 tsp baking powder
  5. Pinch of salt
  6. Water as required
  7. FOR THE SUGAR SYRUP
  8. 1 cup sugar
  9. 1/2 cup water
  10. OTHER INGREDIENTS
  11. Oil for deep frying

Instructions

  1. FOR THE BATTER Take bajre ka atta
  2. Curd , baking powder and salt
  3. In a mixing bowl combine together bajre ka atta , baking powder and salt
  4. Add curd and mix well
  5. Then add some water
  6. Blend it into a smooth thick paste
  7. Cover it with a cling film and keep for 4 hours to ferment
  8. In the meantime add sugar and water in a vessel to make sugar syrup , cook it until one string consistency
  9. When the batter is fermented nicely then pour it in a bottle with a nozzle
  10. Heat oil in a flat pan , first on high flame then make the heat medium and start making jalebis
  11. Fry them , by turning them at regular intervals , until becomes light brown
  12. Then take them out directly in the warm sugar syrup
  13. The jalebis are ready
  14. Take them out in a serving plate and serve hot
