About Smoky Fried Mutton Chops Recipe

Very simple and easy to prepare, tastes awesome with some sliced onions and lime juice, can served as a dinner party starter!

Smoky Fried Mutton Chops

Ingredients to make Smoky Fried Mutton Chops

  • Mutton chops 1 kg
  • For Marination
  • curd 1/2 cup
  • ginger garlic paste 2 tsp
  • Roasted cumin powder 2 tsp
  • lime juice 2 tsp
  • Roasted coriander powder 1 tsp
  • red chilly powder 1 tsp
  • Garam masala 1 tsp
  • Raw papaya paste 1 tsp
  • Black pepper powder 1/2 tsp
  • salt to taste
  • Pinch of orange red colour
  • oil to fry
  • coal

How to make Smoky Fried Mutton Chops

  1. In a mixing bowl ad all ingredients for marination ,mix well .
  2. Wash mutton chop pieces and add in marination. Mix thoroughly.
  3. Keep in refrigerator for 2 to 3 hours.
  4. Later in a pressure cooker ad marinated mutton chops with 1 tsp oil.
  5. Cover the lid and pressure cook till done.
  6. When done ,open the lid and dry all possible moisture in it.
  7. Now heat oil in nonstick kadai and fry 3 to 4 pieces at a time on both sides till golden.
  8. When fried take out on kitchen towel, arrange in a plate ,put small foil in middle of plate,put heated coal on it and pour few drops of ghee,cover with another plate. Let it keep for 10 minutes.
  9. Open the lid ,sprinkle some chopped coriander leaves.and serve hot with onion, lemon.
