Ingredients to make Corn oats tikki

  • 6 boiled and mashed potatoes
  • 2 to 3 bowl boiled and grinded corn niblets
  • 1 cup oats
  • 1 cup poha (flattened rice flakes)
  • 1/2 bowl chopped onions
  • 1/2 bowl chopped cabbage
  • 1/2 bowl chopped carrots
  • 1/2 bowl chopped capsicum
  • Chopped coriander leaves
  • Chopped curry leaves
  • 2 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 2 spoon ginger+garlic+ green chillies+ coriander leaves paste
  • 2 teaspoon shezwan chutney
  • 1 Teaspoon oregano
  • For dipping
  • Bread crumbs+poha crumbs

How to make Corn oats tikki

  1. Add all the ingredients together and mix it well. Remember do not mash it for more time otherwise the mixture will get smooth and it will be hard to make proper tikkis.
  2. Once you mixed it all together, make small balls and press them gently.
  3. Then dip the tikkis in bread and poha crumb. If you want you can also add fine sev in it.
  4. Heat oil in the pan. Shallow fry the tikkis and transfer them to tissue paper to absorb extra oil. Serve hot with green chutney or tomato sauce.

My Tip:

If you want you can also add cheese or paneer in the mixture. It wil give a different taste to the tikki..
