Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Tukda basmati1 cup
  2. Milk maid 200 gms
  3. Sugar 1 small katori
  4. Cardamon powder 1 tspn
  5. Kaju and kishmish 1 tbspn
  6. Ghee 1 tbspn
  7. Milk 1. 5 ltr


  1. First heat a wok add 1 tspn ghee and 1 tbspn sugar. When the sugar starting to caremalize and became little red add the milk little by little. Mix and then add whole milk.
  2. When milk start boiling add the rice which is kept in water for 15 mins.
  3. Let it boil on medium flame till the rice is properly done.
  4. Within that time fry the kaju and kishmish in ghee and keep aside.
  5. When the rice is properly cooked add milk maid and dry fruits fried.
  6. Taste it if sweetness is less add sugar.
  7. Then cook it until it become slightly thick. Then at last add cardamom powder.
  8. Kheer is done. Caramelization is done to give a color to the dessert.
