Pulao with a twist. Made pulao with leftover kale chole sabzi (chane).

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. 1 glass Rice
  2. 2-3 tbsp of chole sabzi or 1 cup boiled chole
  3. Cumin seeds
  4. Sliced onions
  5. Red chilli powder (optional)
  6. 1tsp Chole masala (if you are using boiled chole)
  7. Salt to taste
  8. 2 glasses water
  9. 1 tsp oil/ghee


  1. Wash the rice and soak for 10 minutes in fresh water
  2. Take pressure cooker. pour oil. As the oil gets warm add cumin seeds.
  3. As it started crackling add sliced onions.
  4. As the color of onions changes, add chole sabzi or boiled chole.
  5. Saute it add red chilli powder(optional) and salt.
  6. Saute for a minute then add soaked rice, saute it.
  7. Add water, stir it and close the lid.
  8. Cook the rice according to your cooker( in my cooker 1 whistle is enough) and keep it in steam for sometime.
  9. Chole rice pulao is ready.
