Crisp deep fried lady finger, a perfect dish for rainy days and when you're tired of eating run of the mill bhindi.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Bhindi/okra 400 grams
  2. Salt to taste
  3. Roasted Cumin Powder 1/2 Tsp
  4. Besan 2-3 tbsp
  5. Turmeric 1/2tsp
  6. Chaat masala 1 tsp
  7. Red Chilli Powder (As per taste)
  8. Oil for frying


  1. Wash and dry okra.
  2. Chop off both ends.
  3. Slit into half, lengthwise.
  4. Remove the seeds and white stalk using hands/butter knife /spoon.
  5. Mix besan and spices together and toss the okra in this.
  6. Keep for about 5 minutes.
  7. Heat oil for frying.
  8. Fry bhindi till the coating is golden brown.
  9. To serve sprinkle a bit of chaat masala on top.
