Panjeeri is a very healthy and delicious sweet dish of punjabi homes . This is my grandma recipe . She makes this panjeeri every winter . It is full of nutrients. Panjeeri is very good for ladies after delivery. Panjeeri give strength to moms of new born babies.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 4 cup whole wheat flour (atta )
  2. 5 tbsp ghee / clarified butter
  3. 100 grm powdered almonds
  4. 100 grm powdered pistachio
  5. 100 grm powdered cashew
  6. 100 grm chopped raisin
  7. 100 grm dry ginger powder
  8. Powdered sugar according to your taste
  9. 100 grm postdana /khaskhas


  1. First take a heavy bottom pan or kadai . Add ghee/ clarified butter into this . When ghee is hot ;add whole wheat flour . Stir continuously.
  2. When nice aroma comes out from mix and it becomes brown in color , add powdered almonds , cashew , pistachio, dry ginger powder and chopped raisins and khaskhas . Mix all Ingredients well . If mixture is too dry add little bit ghee . Stir continuously. Turn off the gas . Let it cool .
  3. Now add powdered sugar to the mix . Mix well . Panjeeri is ready . Serve with nice hot cup of tea .
