About Shahi Paneer Recipe Recipe

A rich Indian dish that can grace any special occasion, paneer is cooked in creamy makhni sauce. In this gravy cashewnuts add that shahi or royal touch. Delicately flavoured with aromatic spices the sauce is full of flavours from tomatoes, butter, cashewnuts and cream. It does come with it's share of calories, but one bite and you will realize it is all worth.

Ingredients to make Shahi Paneer Recipe

  • 300 gms Home made paneer
  • 1 medium size onion,
  • 2 green chillies
  • 15 soaked cashew nuts paste
  • 2 tomatoes paste
  • 1 tbsp yogurt
  • 2 tbsp cream
  • 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1 tbsp butter (you can use ghee or veg oil also)
  • 1/2tsp shah jeera
  • 1 black cardamom
  • 6,7 black peppercorn
  • 2 bay leaf
  • 3 green cardamom
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • to taste salt
  • as needed chopped coriander leaves

How to make Shahi Paneer Recipe

  1. Take a kadhai or pan add butter
  2. Now add shah jeera,black cardamom,green cardamom, bay leaf also and 2seconds fry it
  3. After 2sec you can add onion cashewnut paste and saute them
  4. Next you can add ginger garlic paste and tomato paste and all powder spices mix well
  5. when oil exrat in Masala then you can add yogurt give it a good mix.
  6. next add cream and paneer also.
  7. Cook Masala mix and paneer in medium flame just 2 minutes
  8. After 2 minutes you can add 1/4 cup water and mix jently cover the lid and cook it 5 minutes in a low to medium flame
  9. After 5 minutes open the lid and add chopped coriander leaves and switch off the flame
  10. Shahi Paneer ready to serve
  11. Garnish some coriander leaves and toping little bit of cream and you can serve this shahi paneer with roti, paratha,naan,steam rice,or jeera rice also
