ABOUT Shahi paneer RECIPE

An easy but decadent paneer curry for special occasions, simple but full of unique flavours.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Paneer (cubed) - 1 cup
  2. Onion (chopped) - 1
  3. Tomatoes (chopped) - 4
  4. Green chillies (chopped) - 1
  5. Ginger (chopped) - 2 tsp
  6. Cardamom - 2
  7. Red Chilly powder - 1 tsp
  8. Garam Masala powder - 1/2 tsp
  9. Pepper powder - 1/2 tsp
  10. Milk - 1/4 th cup
  11. Tomato Ketchup - 1 tbsp
  12. Salt
  13. Refined oil
  14. Coriander leaves (chopped) - 2 tbsp

Instructions

  1. Heat some oil in a pan.
  2. Once heated, add the cardamom followed by the chopped ginger and green chillies.
  3. Once they smell, add the chopped onions.
  4. Fry till translucent and then add the tomatoes.
  5. Cook them until mushy. Keep aside to cool.
  6. Once the tomato mix is cold enough, blend it in a blender.
  7. Heat some more oil in the pan and add the above tomato paste made.
  8. Now add the tomato ketchup, all the powdered masalas and salt.
  9. Cook till the masala leaves oil. Then add the cubed paneer.
  10. Stir and add the milk while stirring the cooking masala.
  11. Finally add some water for the gravy, check for salt and bring upto boil.
  12. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve.
