ABOUT Vegge Monda RECIPE

Its a vegge version of Sweet Monda. Monda normally made of coconut sugar filling. Its a sweet dish from Odisha. Here I mafe with vegetables.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Rice flour- 6cups
  2. Carrot-chopped(1small)
  3. Beans- chopped(4-5)
  4. Cabbage chopped(1/2cup)
  5. Onion- finely chopped(1big)
  6. Green chilly- chopped(2)
  7. Paneer(chena)-1cup
  8. Salt to taste
  9. Vinegar-1sp
  10. Soya sauce- 1tbsp
  11. Water
  12. oil-2tbsp

Instructions

  1. In a kadai boil 2 cups of water and make it boil. Add some salt to taste to cook the rice flour
  2. Now prepare a paste of 2tbsp rice flour n water. When water comes to boil add this paste n stir
  3. Then add some rice flour into boiling water slowly n stir continuously so that no lumps formed
  4. Cook it till the watery consitancy goes out and make sure that you can make dough using it
  5. Let it rest for 5mins.
  6. In the mean while heat another pan and add some oil and fry fry all the veggies and paneer in high flame so that the veggies remain crunch
  7. Add vinegar and soya sauce to it. Salt to taste
  8. Now make a plain dough of the cooked rice flour . And make a big lemon size ball. Make all the ball. And kept aside
  9. Now fill the stuffing into the rice flour ball and kept aside
  10. Now in a kadai boil a good amount of water to boil n rice balls
  11. When the water comes to boil. Slowly add the balls and cook for 3-4mins Veggies Monda is ready now
  12. You can enjoy it with hot n sour kechup or Momo sauce
